I’ve seen so many wonderful little anecdotes popping up from the Wagga girls I’ve spoken to so far, and this will give you an idea of the sort of book I think the community might enjoy; a light-hearted, warm and sometimes a little cheeky read about life at 38 Morrow St, through the eyes of the women who lived it.
My Mother used this phrase at a brunch date we had when I returned from Wagga recently. I was showing her pictures of Nabiha in her kitchen, and she couldn’t quite remember going to Nabiha’s, but she told me she felt “pockets of joy” when she looked at the pictures. I felt the same way when I look out into the Victory Memorial Gardens in April. I thought it was a great name for this little section.
